THE STORY BEHIND NANNIES BEYOND
 
Founder, Lois Allon has been recruiting for the childcare sector since 2005. With a background in city recruitment, she launched an au pair agency in 2005 shortly after her second child was born. Lois had no support as both sets of grandparents were living abroad and her experience as an employer was so incredibly positive that she felt every young growing family could benefit from the support of someone special to help look after their children.
 
Lois recognised that many families needed more substantial childcare and help around their home, and the au pair agency developed into a highly reputable nanny and private staffing agency recruiting full time and part time nannies,  housekeepers, private PAs, house managers, governesses and even extended to companions for elderly.  

What sets Lois apart from every other agency is her dedication, passion and her focus on giving every client her individual attention. WHO IS LOIS?
 
Lois is passionate about helping people. She loves helping families to find the perfect solution for their childcare and for their busy lives. She loves helping nannies find their perfect job working with children. She loves connecting people. 

Having had 3 children in the short space of 3.5 years, Lois couldn’t have got through the early years without childcare and support within her own home. Lois truly understands a family’s needs – as a busy professional mum she can empathise with her clients and is able to offer advice and support from her own experience and from years of working with many families. 

Lois grew up in South Africa and immigrated to Australia before settling in London in 2000. Settling into a new country and adapting to a new culture can be challenging and Lois gets that it’s not always easy for nannies moving from abroad or from a different part of the UK. Lois helps people to settle into their new families and will often introduce nannies to other lovely nannies she has placed in the area.
 
Lois’ love for helping people extends beyond her business. When she is not interviewing nannies or talking to families, Lois coaches teens and young adults. She also volunteers in her community. She has run the kitchen for a homeless shelter over the harsh winter months and spent years volunteering in a secondary school working with teens to help them reach their full potential. 
 
More than anything Lois is very passionate about maintaining a work-life balance and to delivering an exemplary service to her clients. She does it with passion and gusto.
