We understand that finding a nanny or other private staff to work your home may seem like a daunting task, and that’s where our years of experience and knowledge of the industry come into their own. Finding the perfect nanny or governess or PA to suit our client’s personalities and requirements is simple for us.

NANNIES BEYOND HIRING PROCESS

  • An in-depth telephone conversation is carried out with the family to get a good feel for the role and also, just as importantly, the type of personality fit that will match the family.

  • It is very important to have a clear understanding of all the duties the nanny or PA, or house manager is expected to carry out and to know as much information about the parents, the children, the home and any other staff  so that we can get a proper feel for the role.

  • We understand that with each new job, a nanny, a PA, a house manager or governess is looking for a new challenge and often a step up. This keeps a candidate interested and engaged with the family and helps with retaining your staff in the long term.

  • From those candidates who apply, very few pass our criteria – we are very specific about what we look for in a candidate and the bar is often set by whether we would employ them in our own home.

  • We love interviewing applicants and enjoy getting to know them on a personal and professional level. Some of our candidates are coming from abroad and when it is not possible for us to interview face to face then Facetime, Whatsapp, Zoom and Skype video calls work wonders.

  • When interviewing a candidate we discuss at length their previous roles, their ideal new position, their strengths and requirements and the sort of household that would suit them best. We aim to introduce you only to those candidates that match your lifestyle and who are confident, happy and capable of doing the job brilliantly and building strong relationships with you and with your children.

  • Nannies Beyond check all references and keep copies of DBS certificates, First Aid certificates, any qualifications relating to childcare, passport, ID, proof of address and driving licence if they have one. We encourage families to take up references too, as they may feel they want to talk to a previous employer about aspects that are especially pertinent to their role.

  • Our search and selection process is bespoke to each family and we will share CVs for any candidates who we feel are suitable for the role. We encourage families to do a first round interview in person or via video call.  Following a successful interview we suggest up to a one week trial with a nanny. This gives both the family and the applicant a good insight to what the role entails and to determine whether there is a good connection.

  • If both parties are happy to proceed, the placement is secured, and a contract is provided. Although Nannies Beyond’s main involvement ends at this point, we are always available to provide support and offer professional and expert advice.

We aim to please and always want to hear how you all getting on.
